چکیده
This study investigates the potential of epiphytic bacteria isolated from citrus fruits to control green mold post-harvest disease caused by Penicillium digitatum in Thompson Navel sweet oranges north Iran. Twenty-three were and screened vitro against P. digitatum, 13 isolates with antagonistic activity selected for further studies. Isolates B15 (Bacillus sp.), P17 (Pseudomonas S13 (Streptomyces sp.) exhibited most effective inhibitory effects on vivo. Among these, showed highest percentage mycelium growth reduction was identified as B. cereus 16S rRNA sequence analysis. Metabolic analysis Bacillus sp. isolate extract revealed presence inhibiting antifungal substance Iturin A. The result that application decreased diseases orange fruit. indicates their an environmentally friendly alternative chemical digitatum.

The effectiveness of pyrimethanil to inhibit germination of Penicillium digitatum and to control citrus green mold after harvest
Pyrimethanil (PYR) has recently been approved for postharvest use on citrus fruit to control green mold, caused by Penicillium digitatum. he EC50 of PYR to inhibit germination of P. digitatum spores was 0.2–0.4 mg/L and was similar from pH 4 to 7. Green mold on citrus fruit as reduced more than 90% by PYR at 500 mg/L or higher applied by immersing for 30 s or drenching the fruit, while its appl...

Stored citrus fruit suffer huge losses because of the development of green mould caused by Penicillium digitatum. Usually synthetic fungicides are employed to control this disease, but their use is facing some obstacles, such public concern about possible adverse effects on human and environmental health and the development of resistant pathogen populations. In the present study quercetin, scop...

متن کاملControl of citrus green mold with Aspire is impacted by the type of injury
Aspire, a formulation of the yeast Candida oleophila registered for postharvest application to citrus for the control of green mold (Penicillium digitatum), competes with the pathogen for nutrients at injuries to prevent infection. A major factor affecting efficacy is how quickly and well the yeast colonizes injuries to the fruit surface, including minor injuries involving only oil vesicles. Co...
